Who I’ve Become Along the Way

There are moments in life where you stop and look back…
Not to relive everything that happened.
But to understand who you’ve become because of it.
The past year wasn’t something I planned for.
It was a season that asked more of me than I expected.
A season of:
• caregiving
• loss
• slowing down
• learning how to move differently
And in the middle of all of that… something shifted.
We often think growth looks like progress.
Moving forward.
Doing more.
Becoming stronger in obvious ways.
But I’ve learned that growth can also look like:
• pausing
• feeling deeply
• letting go of how things used to be
• allowing yourself to change
When I look back, I don’t just see what I went through.
I see who I’ve become.
Someone who:
• understands her energy in a different way
• doesn’t rush through everything
• recognizes what really matters
• is willing to be honest — even when it’s uncomfortable
I used to think strength was pushing through.
Now I see it differently.
Strength is:
• showing up when things feel heavy
• allowing yourself to feel
• adjusting instead of forcing
• continuing… even when it looks different than before
I’m not the same person I was before this past year.
And I’m not meant to be.
This version of me is:
More aware.More grounded.More connected to what matters.
Tomorrow, I take a step forward.
Not by going back to who I was…
But by showing up as who I am now.
🎙️ You Do You Unfiltered returns.
And this time, it’s coming from a place that feels more real than ever.
If you’re in a season right now that’s changing you…
Even if it doesn’t feel like it yet…
You are becoming someone new too.
What has this past season of your life shaped in you?
